Unblock

[edit]

Greetings! I unblocked the IP as you requested; unfortunately I was unable to respond by e-mail, as Yahoo seems to have disabled your account. Cheers! Antandrus (talk) 17:25, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your additions

[edit]

How wonderful that you're adding interwikis to Vietnamese Wikipedia for all these terms! Because of the big differences between English and Vietnamese, Without expert editors such as yourself, it could be very hard to locate these similar articles. Badagnani 04:06, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Signing

[edit]

In case you've been typing out your signature by hand:

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you!

Otherwise, you really should make "huongthao" a link to your user or talk page. --  Netsnipe  ►  14:28, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Third unblocking requirement

[edit]

In Vietnam, almost all users using dynamic IP. Once again I faced with blocking policy in the Wikipedia. Vuong Ngan Ha 13:18, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

This blocked user's request to have autoblock on their IP address lifted has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request.

Open proxy, as per Kelly Martin on IRC

Decline reason: Sorry, we do not allow people to edit the Wikipedia from open proxies. -- Yamla 00:58, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can not agree with Yamla's solution

I can not say that I agreed with Yamlar's solution, because our ISP always change IP addresses, so that in one time I use IP address 203.160.1.47 (until Dec 13 2006), while in another time use IP address 203.160.1.43 (currently). This is not my mistake and in the Blocking policy I dont see any sentence showing that user from dynamic IP can not edit in the Wikipedia. Where justice for me, while all of my contributions until now are not vandalism, personal attack, excessive reverting e.t.c. and never directly blocked? Vuong Ngan Ha 01:41, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia:No open proxies. Part Deux 02:12, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Guys, has anyone actually thought of retesting 203.160.1.43 before declining his request to still see if it's indeed an open proxy? Vuong, in the meantime, log onto Wikipedia at https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/w/index.php?title=Special:Userlogin instead. That might bypass your proxy server. --  Netsnipe  ►  10:31, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I posted a message to an administrator who said he'd look at it, though it appears Vuong is still blocked. The idea is, this is a proxy IP for the whole country, and any "open proxy" is probably because there's a trojan horse somewhere on the network. I suggested reblocking under AO or disabling auto-block. -Part Deux 14:17, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Vuong Ngan Ha. As Netsnipe has suggested, try using https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/w/index.php?title=Special:Userlogin while logging in. I am going to reconfigure this block for anon-only, please advise if you experience any further difficulties with editing the English Wikipedia. Vietnam WikiProject

[edit]

I am told you might be interested in a separate WikiProject for Vietnam, like Wikipedia:WikiProject Southeast Asia, I have posted the proposal at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Vietnam_WikiProject Chris 04:18, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

Could you please answer these questions for me, done by tonight, thank you:

  1. Consider a pair of forces, one having a magnitude of 20N and the other a magnitude of 12N. What maximum net force is possible for these two forces? Minimum? Explain your answers with diagrams and complete sentences.
  2. Can an object be in equilibrium when only a single force acts on it? Explain.
  3. A hockey puck slides across the ice at a constant speed. Is it in equilibrium? Why or why not?
  4. Suppose the acceleration of an object is zero. Does that mean that there are no forces acting upon it? Give an example supporting your idea.
  5. A ball thrown straight up has zero velocity at its highest point. Is the ball in equilibrium at this point? Why or why not?
  6. When you fly in an airplane at night in smooth air, there is no sensation of motion even though the plane may be moving at 800 km/h. Why is this?

Help me finish these questions as quickly as possible, please! JacquesNguyen 05:01, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
