Images
[edit]Hi there. Could you please include information regarding the source and copyright status of images you upload? You can do this by going to the image's description page and editing it. For example, Image:Sunniinsurgentcapt.bag10404071350.jpg. Please also note our Copyright policy; we can't have copyright violations decorating articles, as it hurts the project. Thanks for your consideration. -- Hadal 03:25, 8 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Danny Rosenblatt
[edit]That's the second time I've noticed you posting vanity on Danny Rosenblatt. Wikipedia is not the place for such entries. Please stop. TheCustomOfLife 22:08, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- Stop attempting to subvert the VfD process on Danny Rosenblatt. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing. -- Cyrius|✎ 01:18, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Images
[edit]You should give the source of each image as a URL on the image description page. Add an image copyright tag to show its copyright status. The process is described in detail at Wikipedia:Copyrights#Image guidelines. Guanaco 03:49, Jul 23, 2004 (UTC)
- Did I put the right tag on the image I just uploaded? What's your assesment?
It's not in the public domain. You can assume that all reasonably new images are copyrighted unless there is a notice that states otherwise. I changed the tag to {{fairuse}}.
When posting a comment to talk pages, could you please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~)? Guanaco 21:38, Jul 23, 2004 (UTC)
Current events
[edit]When you add an entry to the Current events page, could you please include a link to a news item which supports your article? RickK 21:38, Jul 25, 2004 (UTC)
I'm going to ask you again to supply a link. And also please limit Current Events items to, at most, three sentences. This is not a newspaper. If you don't supply a link, and trim the excess, I'll delete what you've added. RickK 22:04, Jul 25, 2004 (UTC)
Is that alright now?
I edited the format, but it's still excessively long. Are ALL of those events documented in that one link? RickK 22:13, Jul 25, 2004 (UTC)
That's about as short as I could get it. Yes, all of the events are documented at least briefly in that one link.
Thankyou for editing the format
Rob Hand etc
[edit]Hi. Please remember to write in complete sentences. Creation of substubs with less than a single sentence is discouraged. You might wish to review Wikipedia:Manual of Style for more info and tips. -- Infrogmation 02:18, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Is the new version of Rob Hand your own text? If not, where from? It needs wikiformating; check out Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies). Sorry to be bothering you again, as it looks like you've put some good effort into the article, it doesn't take much more to put the info into our encyclopedic format. Cheers, -- Infrogmation 03:26, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Suicidebombcarnage.jpg)
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Suicidebombcarnage.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Telso 02:17, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Fallujahtracer.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Fallujahtracer.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 08:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
